Logen's First Trout

On Sunday, Ray decided that Logen needed to go on her first fishing trip so we went to Walmart and bought her a Barbie fishing pole and some worms.

Then we went off to the local park that has a pond stocked with trout specifically for kids under 14 to fish w/ no license.

After about an hour of watching other kids get their fish and Logen's attention span shorten, I decided to leave to get some snacks. As I came back, Logen showed me her first trout! She was so proud of it. And within 10 minutes of my arrival w/snacks Logen caught her first steel head.

Logen was very proud of her fishies.
When we got home, she helped Ray gut the fish w/no problems
and brought her play cook pans over to him so she could "cook" her fishies.
Now this weekend we are headed down to Garibaldi so Logen can catch more fishies with Poppa Joe during Free Fishing Weekend.

Logen's ABCs

Recently at daycare Logen has been learning her ABCs and counting to 10. I didn't really notice until we were in the car and she counted to 10 by herself. She also sings Happy Birthday and Twinkle twinkle little star.
I finally got her to sit down and show the camera her skills:

This Weekend

Tomorrow night my mom and my grandma betty are driving up from oregon for the weekend. Our plans for the weekend as follows: Friday- Me working, and Ray entertaining my mom and grandma since he took a vacation day. Saturday- Irrigation Festival, 3 hr long parade to watch and garage sales galore and Sunday- Mother's Day Brunch w/ pictures.
In between there I hope to get an hour or two with Ray by ourselves. I have forgotten what its like to be by ourselves with no one else.
This Saturday is Ray's midterm for his EMT class. Wish him luck! He has been working hard and studying for this class.

My handsome husband

He loves firefighting! and I love him!

Ray's Burn to Learn

Here are some pictures of Ray's Burn to Learn up here in Sequim. Although this is like his 9th or 10th one (and my 4th watching), it was his first one with Clallam County Fire Department 3.
Here is what the house looked like before the burn.

These two look so much alike it isn't funny (pre-burn)

Here is the house slowly burning to the ground

( I got in trouble on a few of these shots cause I was getting too close to the building)

Cont'd more pictures of the house

Our living room. The hideous turquoise carpeting is being remove this summer because the previous tenant put cigarette burn holes into it. we can't wait to use the fireplace.

More pictures of the house!

Here's the kithcen. Notice the olive green dishwasher. It's the original one; its the oldest working dishwasher the repair has seen. Luckily it and the stove are being replaced this summer!
