Pancakes and Tortillas

Raymond makes the best pancakes I've ever tasted (Randy's yours come in a close second)!!! However he topped himself the other night with his new recipe; they were so delicious I didn't need any syrup! They were light, fluffy and had little crunchies in them. Perplexed I asked Ray what it was...... HONEY BUNCHES OF OATS!!! He always manages to throw things together and they work.

Today Logen and I went to the park that is closest to us. It has 3 playground areas, even a small one for toddlers. Plus there are two dog runs and 3 huge ponds full of ducks! Usually Ray and I will take our stale bread and left over tater tots, biscuits, burnt bread items and let Logen feed them. Today Logen and I fed them wheat tortillas, a whole bag of 20. Tore them into strips and threw them at the ducks. These ducks are vicious and attack each other for wheat tortillas. We even make a game of it and try to land a tortilla strip on the back of the duck. Little things amuse us. A must see for anyone who visits.

August... went by too fast

This month has certainly flown by. Logen was in Oregon for a week with my parents so that I could catch up on things. It was nice yet lonely when she was gone. She did bring back a cold which both Ray and I got. I'm still fighting mine off. Still looking for a job, not much luck there since every time I've typed out an application or written one Logen has managed to destroy it. Gotta love the kid. Every once in a while we take Logen to McD's just to play on the play ground. Usually there aren't a lot of kids there but today there was. Logen was following this little boy up the play ground when he just turned around and smack her in the face. I yelled at him and then yelled at his mother who proceded to say "there just being kids". Yea if Logen had done that she would say sorry (or attempt to since she can't say the word yet) and we would have left the area. But no this mom shrugged it off, made a face at me and let her kid go as he whispered "I'm sorry" as he ran back to the play ground past Logen. Yes I understand kids will be kids but geeze they have to learn rules sometimes!!!!
This video is Logen getting ready for football season! GO DUCKS!!!
