Logen's Discovery

The other day while cleaning the living room I hear Logen yell "bug!" so I'm like great another spider or maggot. However Logen found a yellow and black caterpillar with white spikes on it. It looked like a wooly bear caterpillar (the orange and black ones) but I had to search online to what it was. Her find was a Spotted Tussock Caterpillar, which are native to British Columbia, Alberta, California and S. Carolina. He/She was looking for a place to pupate to become a moth which will probably end up in our house. At least Logen told me about it before she picked it up cause apparently their little white spikes hurt really bad.

Also if anyone has any idea to buy FINDING NEMO STUFF let me know. Logen is mad crazy about that fish; the dvd is watched at least 2x a day!!!

Fall is coming!!!

This is my favorite time of the year!!! It's rainy, cold and windy and I love it! Now I just have to buy some pants instead of wearing basketball shorts. The town up here is on edge since there was a US Park Ranger Officer killed yesterday by some dumbass who was then killed later. We were driving around last night and in a 2 mile radius came across 2 state patrols, 3 sequim patrols, 2 county patrols and a border patrol agent. We didn't know what officially happened to the officer until this morning. Being curious we drove around today and saw the spot where is happened and also where the other guy was shot down. Even though this stuff happens, being an officer still appeals to Ray and me.
We went to the park again today. The ducks were being brave and were eating out of our hands. Ray got it on his cell phone. As we left the park this huge black cloud was blowing off the water and headed right towards us. It was getting colder and Logen didn't want to leave. so we pretended we were leaving without her and she bolted for the car.

Bucket Head

I am still filling applications out like crazy, several leads, just waiting for answers. Ray has been working 14 hour days lately for inventory so he comes home tired and brain numbed. Logen has been especially cranky or pesterful since she wants to be read to every second and held and cuddled. It's cute but when I'm trying to fill out applications its annoying. I'm looking into joining the Citizen Waste Reduction and Solid Waste Adivisory Committees for Clallam County so that I have some public environmental experience under my belt. It also looks great on applications as well. I am also trying to get involved with the fire department as well maybe as in a Support Team or something. Ray is looking into going to city council meetings so he is more involved with the public and gets the community involved with decreasing stealing. Tomorrow is the first day of story time of the local library so that's where Logen and I are going. I'm sitting in the back incase of fit throwing; Logen likes to move around a lot.

Bug!

So I'm sitting in the living room finishing an application when I hear Logen yell "bug!" Figuring it was an ant I slowly got up and into the kitchen. Logen is prancing around and trying to squish it cause that's what her daddy told her to do. However this was no ant, it was a MAGGOT! so as I'm kicking her out of the kitchen, I move the rug so that I could kill it and bleach wash the floor when I found 5 more!!!! blah!!!! so everything out of the kitchen: Logen, two rugs, garbage can and recycling bin. I pick up the maggots with a plastic baggie and throw them outside. I vacuumed around all the edges of floor then bleach washed it. I then looked around to see where they could have come from. There was no food on the counter and Ray had just taken the garbage out or so I thought. He had taken the recycling bin and the countainer of diapers out but not the garbage. There I found all the little maggots. Thinking back I don't throw food into the garbage can, we thrown it in with the diapers so they don't rot in the house. However I forgot we had people over for Labor Day and they had thrown all the old meat into our garbage can. Thus they were multiplying. Logen was all excited cause they were squirming around and ugh. And to think people in other countries eat them!

House

Ray and I have been watching a "HOUSE" marathon on USA. I wish more doctors were actually that way instead of sugar coating things and beating around the bush. However realizing that if any doctors actually behaved like House they would be fired within weeks of hiring no matter how good they were. Boo on society, get the facts and get out!
On another note we are preparing our apartment for winter which means moving all furniture away from the baseboard heaters, put thick curtains up and rearranging the furniture around so that a Christmas Tree will have its own spot. Ray is so into Christmas he wants to put a tree up now. I just hope that we get snow up here.
Winter should be fun since Logen has no clothes that fit her for winter time. I have two pants and some shirts but that little girl out grew everything!

El bombaro y su hija (the firefighter and his daughter)

We went down to the Dungeness River to check out the scenery. Here are Ray & Logen contemplating about something (Ray: fishing, Logen: swimming) They look too much alike. Ray is excited cause he got back into volunteer firefighting. He got to take his gear home so he played with it all last night. Logen joined in as well.

Ushers!!!

So I got a call from my mom today asking me how badly I would want to go to the Civil War game. Her boss at work coordinates volunteers/ushers for the game to find seats and stopped people from bringing alcohol into the stadium. My mom volunteered Ray and I so WE ARE GOING TO THE CIVIL WAR GAME... FREE!!!!! I haven't got all the details yet but it will make a great birthday present for me!!!! Too bad its at Reser Stadium this year instead of Autzen but GO DUCKS!!!!
