Logen's 2nd Birthday!

Wow I can't believe that my Logie bear is two! I remember just getting to see her, bundled up and all red, seeing her daddy's happy tears of joy. I'm so glad that she is around! It is strange to think its been two years already since I was in the hospital, being annoyed by the nurses that kept covering my warm feet up with the blanket and waves of the pain that kept coming. Although I don't remember what the pain felt like, I do remember having those pains. She was well worth the wait though.

Her birthday was great. Grandma Charmaine and Uncle Aaron drove up from Oregon for the weekend. They left early Sunday morning because we had 4 inches of snow up here in Sequim. Logen was quite happy to see all the snow, see was blowing it off her hand like it was bath bubbles. Her Nemo themed party went well, even though I didn't find any Nemo things at any party store that I went to. She got a Nemo cake and Nemo balloons. I had Ray drive her around while my mom and I decorated our apartment. She was in a state of shock when she walked into the house. Her presents: a clownfish puzzle, an alphabet game. a stroller for her baby, and a giant book of dogs as tall as her.

Birthday presents

Ray surprised me at work Tuesday with balloons and cheesecake for my birthday! Then he bought me the third book to the Twilight series, called Eclipse. I already read the whole thing. Can't wait to read the 4th book.

Now we are preparing for Logen's birthday. I bought orange plates, cups and silveware with clear blue cups and blue decor. I also bought crepe paper in green and some green christmas tinsel to make our place look like we're under water. Too bad none of the party stores that I went to had Finding Nemo party stuff. I'll have to be creative. Her cake is ordered, Safeway is like the only place that still has a Nemo cake. So far in attendance will be some of our Sequim friends, my parents and some of Ray's friends from Portland. It should be interesting squeezing everyone into our apartment.

Civil War

The Civil War was awesome! even though Ray and I were working. We volunteered to be alcohol monitors for the season ticket holder area. Ray got stuck near the rowdy people while I was stationed near calmer people. This is fine with me because 1) I did have to do much but remind people to take their seats and 2) I was standing at the 50 yard line. Perfect view of the game, for every play. Everytime Oregon scored I yelled, even though we weren't suppose to be biase. Ah well, at least my birthday wish came true. Next year, I would love to get tickets to be at Autzen.

Then it was Thanksgiving at my parent's house Sunday. Good stuff. Then we bought our Christmas Tree and hauled it all the back to Washington with us. Here in Sequim, a 4 ft noble was $50 while a 7 1/2 ft noble in Oregon was $30. It was fun tying it to the roof of my car but it got here in one piece and fit perfectly into the house.

We also stopped at Randy's place on our way home. Logen opened her some of her birthday gifts there. Luckily everyone tried their hardest and find some Nemo stuff so Logen was perfectly happy. She hugs her "baby" Nemo all the time.
